U.S. COAST GUARD LICENSED CAPTAIN/REGISTERED MAINE GUIDE/CERTIFIED IN FIRST-AID/CPR. OVER 25 YEARS OF FISHING EXPERIENCE.
Captain Mike is committed, dedicated and passionate about striped bass fishing for his clients. He loves teaching and making people around him better fishermen and enjoys helping others catch fish more than catching them himself. His main goals on fishing charters is to have fun, catch fish at all costs, and to teach conservation through safe handling of the fish to preserve this declining species.
Captain Mike takes pride in his work ethic and can regularly be seen working like a maniac on slow fishing days doing all that he can to put clients on fish. He lives by the motto,
"There's always someone better out there doing what I'm doing, but I'll never be outworked".
He was born and raised in New Jersey fishing party boats for striped bass, bluefish and fluke since he was a young kid, and could always be found fishing for everything and anything in any body of freshwater. He was the kid turning over every rock in the woods looking for critters, catching frogs and toads, and stopping traffic to let snapping turtles cross the road. After bouncing around the country for a few years, he ended up in Maine/New Hampshire where he has made this home for the past decade. He enjoys all types of fishing these days, but his true passion is out on the ocean hunting down big striped bass. In the off season, he can be found operating his food truck in the spring and fall, and skiing/snowboarding in the winter.
Just Like George Clooney in The Perfect Storm, Captain Mike always finds the fish! (well almost always, some days are just tough)
